About 34/8 Coffee House
We are a new specialty coffee house opening in Anantapur, dedicated to serving exceptional coffee and creating a welcoming community space. We're passionate about coffee quality, customer service, and building a team that grows with our expanding business.
Position Overview
We are seeking a talented Mid-Level Baker/Chef to join our founding team. This role combines baking expertise with cooking skills to create delicious food offerings that complement our specialty coffee. You'll be responsible for producing fresh baked goods daily and preparing various food items from breakfast to light meals.

Key Responsibilities
Baking Operations
- Prepare and bake fresh pastries, cakes, cookies, and other baked goods daily
- Ensure consistent quality and presentation of all baked items
- Maintain proper baking schedules to ensure fresh products throughout operating hours
- Execute both existing recipes and contribute to developing new menu items
- Manage baking equipment and maintain proper temperatures and timing
Cooking Operations
- Prepare breakfast items including eggs, pancakes, and other morning specialties
- Create sandwiches, salads, and light meal options
- Handle food preparation and cooking for various menu items
- Ensure all food items meet quality and presentation standards
- Coordinate timing between baking and cooking responsibilities
Kitchen Management
- Prep ingredients for both baking and cooking operations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen workspace
- Follow all food safety and hygiene protocols
- Assist with daily kitchen opening and closing procedures
- Work independently when needed and collaborate effectively with kitchen assistance
- Monitor food inventory levels and communicate needs to management
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of professional baking experience
- Formal culinary or baking training from recognized institution
- Strong foundation in baking techniques including pastries, cakes, and cookies
- Cooking experience with breakfast items, sandwiches, and light meals
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Excellent English communication skills
- Flexibility to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and time management skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Telugu language skills (conversational level)
- Experience in cafe or restaurant kitchen environments
- Creative input for menu development
- Experience with dietary restrictions and special requests
- Knowledge of ingredient sourcing and quality assessment
- Previous experience training or mentoring kitchen staff
